Our Head of Compliance is certified in compliance essentials by the University of Cape Town and has experience in preparing Cannabis and COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures for workplaces in the Cannabis Industry. He is knowledgeable and up-to-date on understanding the COVID-19 virus and the procedures required to mitigate and prevent its spread. He is also informed on the latest developments in the Cannabis industry and the regulations surrounding it. The Standard Operating Procedures and Site Master File that were developed are in-line with SAHPRA and Department of Health requirements.

Wayne graduated from WITS University in 2000 with a B.Pharm degree in pharmacy and was awarded the PSSA (Southern Gauteng) Pharmaceutical Student of the Year. He furthered his studies with a Diploma in Production Management (2005) at the Production Management Institute of South Africa obtaining Cum Laude. He has worked most of his career in industry but in various sectors from manufacturing, direct sales, regulatory, auditing, QA and new product development. He has worked in pharmaceuticals, complimentary medicines, botanicals, cannabis and FMCG. He has also worked in South Africa, USA, Europe, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania.

Wayne is the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Director for the Health Products. He is also the CAMS Committee Secretary for the SMASA Technical & Regulatory Committee. Wayne sits on the Industry Task Group that meets and interacts with SAHPRA.

The Responsible Pharmacist graduated at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal with an Honors degree in B. Pharmacy (deans’ commendations in Pharmacology). She has excelled with distinctions and earned a Diploma in Pharmacy management and a Diploma in Natural Medicine. Her professional development includes training in regulatory affairs and product QA and QC release, IV certification: Compounding Sterile preparation techniques, and non-sterile compounding techniques. She is certified in Antibiotic Stewardship facilitated by Stanford university and her passion for the environment has driven her to earn a certificate in An Introduction to the science of climate change facilitated by the University of Oxford. Mohini is passionate about service to humanity and is involved in numerous charitable activities outside the workplace. She has undertaken 9 years of training in Education in Human Values (EHV) and graduated as an EHV facilitator, she is also a certified CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Practitioner as well as certified at Masters level in Reiki.

The Head of Quality Assurance joined Exzol in 2019 to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control. She holds a BSC in Microbiology and Cell Biology. Prior to Exzol, she worked in the food and animal feed industry. Her specialist focus is on developing Infrared technology, research and product development, development & maintenance of the Quality Management System as well as technical support – laboratory based.

Before joining Exzol, the Head of Extraction and Infusion gained Quality and Production experience from various industries including food and beverage, speciality chemicals and animal nutritional products. Presently, he leads operations at Exzol which includes supercritical CO2 extraction of cannabinoids and infusion of cannabnoids into consumer and pharmaceutical goods. He holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Biotechnology.
